What is the Sleep Salon Facial, Chandee Master Course and Half-Day Retreat?

There’s a particular decision that almost every first-time spa guest wrestles with. The menu is beautiful. The options are genuinely tempting. And somewhere between the massage section and the facials, you realise that what you actually want is everything but you’re not sure you’re allowed to ask for that.

You are. And at Chandee, it has its own name.

Three signature packages were built specifically for this feeling. Each one combines the 17-step Ring of Water head spa ritual with body massage and facial work in a single, unbroken session – so nothing feels rushed, nothing feels tacked-on, and you leave having addressed the full picture. The question isn’t whether to do more. It’s which version of “more” is right for where you are right now.

Here’s what each package actually involves, why it’s structured the way it is, and how to choose between them.

Why Packages? The Case for Treating Everything at Once

There’s a reason the most satisfying spa experiences tend to be the ones where you stayed longer than you planned. It takes time – real time – for the body to move out of a state of alertness and into genuine rest. Research into massage and the nervous system consistently shows that therapeutic touch measurably lowers cortisol levels, the primary stress hormone. But that shift doesn’t happen in the first fifteen minutes. It deepens gradually, session by session, layer by layer.

What this means in practice: a 90-minute combination session isn’t just three 30-minute sessions stacked together. The body you’re working with at minute 90 is considerably more open, more responsive, and more receptive than the body that walked in at minute one. This is why the signature packages at Chandee are sequenced the way they are – each phase building on the one before it.

They also represent meaningfully better value than booking individual treatments separately. But that’s almost beside the point when the experience itself is different in kind, not just quantity.

The Sleep Salon Facial – 120 Minutes, 3,500 THB

The shortest of the three packages, and the most focused. This one is for you if your face and scalp are carrying the weight – and the rest of your body can wait.

The session opens with all four of Chandee’s facial rituals performed in sequence: Gua Sha facial, the Anti-Aging V-Shape facial, Eye Rejuvenation, and a Detox Deep Cleansing facial. If you’ve read our guide to Chandee’s facials, you’ll know that each one addresses a distinct concern – Gua Sha for circulation and lifting, V-Shape for contouring and firming, the Eye treatment for puffiness and fine lines, and deep cleansing for congestion and blocked pores. Together, in sequence, they cover the complete topography of the face in a way that no single facial can.

Once the facial work is complete, the session transitions into the 17-step Ring of Water head spa ritual. This is where the experience shifts register entirely. The water sounds, the warm scalp work, the organic Yves Rocher shampoo, the unhurried rinse – it has a quality that is very difficult to describe to someone who hasn’t experienced it, and very easy to understand the moment it begins. Most guests describe a kind of involuntary letting-go somewhere around the midpoint of the ritual. That’s the goal.

The Sleep Salon Facial is the most popular entry point for guests who are curious about Chandee’s signature style but want something anchored in skincare. It’s also an ideal choice for anyone visiting Bangkok in the weeks before a significant event – the face emerges visibly clearer and calmer, and the scalp reset is a meaningful bonus.

The Chandee Master Course – 180 Minutes, 4,200 THB

This is Chandee’s most-booked signature package. If you’re only going to do one thing at Chandee, this is what the team tends to quietly recommend.

The Master Course builds on everything the Sleep Salon Facial offers, and adds a full-body massage at the start – your choice of authentic aroma oil massage or traditional Thai massage. That choice matters. Aroma oil massage works with long, flowing strokes and warm oil, addressing muscle tension across the whole body with a particular emphasis on deep tissue release. Thai massage is more structural – a sequence of assisted stretches, pressure-point work, and rhythmic compressions that feels less like being touched and more like being gently reorganised from the inside out. Both are available; neither is wrong.

The sequence runs body first, then face, then scalp. This is deliberate. By the time your therapist turns to your face, the physical holding patterns that make facial muscles tighten have already been addressed at the source. And by the time the head spa begins, you are so thoroughly at rest that the Ring of Water ritual – which is already deeply effective on its own – lands at a completely different depth.

Most guests describe the end of a Master Course session in remarkably similar terms. There is a feeling that something has genuinely shifted – not just in how the body feels, but in how the mind is running. The words “like a different person” come up more often than you’d expect.

The Master Course is also the package that works best if you’ve been carrying significant stress or tension – the kind that accumulates over weeks rather than days, that lives in the jaw and the upper back and the base of the skull. This is the full reset.

The Half-Day Retreat – 240 Minutes, 6,500 THB

Four hours. One afternoon. Nothing else on the schedule.

The Half-Day Retreat takes the Master Course as its foundation and adds either a Golden Glow Body Scrub or a Hot Stone Massage at the beginning – an additional layer of care that transforms the session from “comprehensive” into something closer to “complete.”

The Golden Glow Body Scrub is a full-body exfoliation ritual that prepares the skin before the massage: removing dead skin cells, improving circulation, and allowing the body oil applied during the massage to absorb at a significantly deeper level. If you’ve ever wondered why a massage feels different after a scrub, this is why. The skin’s receptivity changes; the therapist’s work lands differently.

The Hot Stone alternative takes a different approach: smooth basalt stones, heated to a precise warmth and placed along key points of the back and shoulders, release tension at a rate that hands alone cannot achieve. The heat travels inward, reaching the deeper muscle groups that even skilled pressure can struggle to access. It is the option to choose if your back has been a problem, or if warmth is the thing your body is quietly asking for.

After either opening, the session flows through the full Master Course sequence: body massage (aroma or Thai), all four facials, and the 17-step Ring of Water head spa ritual. The final hour, in particular, has a quality that guests tend to struggle to explain after the fact. The body is so thoroughly unwound by that point that the head spa becomes something closer to a meditation than a treatment.

The Half-Day Retreat is the choice for honeymoons, for milestone birthdays, for the end of a long project, for anyone who has been running at a deficit for long enough that a single afternoon of genuine restoration feels not just appealing but overdue. Sleep debt compounds, and so does the kind of nervous system fatigue that accumulates in busy lives. Some things require a full afternoon to properly address.

Couples book this one often – and those who do tend to return for it specifically, year after year.

Which One Is Right for You?

The honest answer is that all three are genuinely satisfying – they differ in scope, not in quality. But if you’re trying to choose:

If your skin has been taking a toll and you want your face to look noticeably different when you leave, begin with the Sleep Salon Facial. It covers every facial concern in a single session, and the head spa brings the whole thing to a close in the most calming way possible.

If you want the full Chandee experience – body, face, and scalp, in a session that leaves you genuinely recalibrated the Master Course is the obvious answer. This is the one most guests come back to, and for good reason.

If you have the afternoon, and the reason to use it properly, the Half-Day Retreat is an experience that is difficult to categorise as anything other than significant. It is, without question, the most thorough form of restoration that Chandee offers.

All three packages are available to book individually or as a couple. The dedicated shared treatment room at Chandee’s Silom salon means pairs can experience the session together, in the same space, without any of the usual awkwardness of coordinating separate appointments.

Practical Information

All three signature packages are available at the Chandee Silom branch at 60 Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road, close to BTS Chong Nonsi and the King Power Mahanakhon Tower. The salon is open daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM – which means the Half-Day Retreat can begin as late as 7:00 PM and still finish comfortably before closing.

The Chandee second location at Sukhumvit 39, near BTS Phrom Phong and EmQuartier, opens in April 2026 and will offer the full signature package menu from day one.

Guests with hair extensions booking any package that includes the head spa should note that a surcharge applies: 300 THB for extensions to the shoulder blades, 500 THB for extensions below. The team recommends building in a little extra time if this applies to you – the full extensions guidance is available here.

To book, visit chandee.com or find Chandee on Klook and Gowabi. If you’d like advice on which package to book before committing, the team is always happy to help – drop a message through the website and someone will respond the same day.

Some guests book a specific package. Others arrive not quite knowing what they need, and find out during the session. Both are fine. The experience tends to know what it’s doing.
